Booting Mac OS 9 on a Machine That Never Existed

SheepShaver is a strange kind of time machine: it runs an operating system for hardware that was already obsolete when I was a kid, on a chip architecture Apple abandoned twice over.

Why bother

Because some software only ever ran there, and because the craft of that era is worth remembering. Every boot is a small act of preservation.
